How thick is the Becker BK2?
The KA-BAR Bk2 Companion is one of the heaviest knife in our range. This knife can handle its own. The blade is 6.6 mm thick and made from 1095-carbon steel. This steel, however, is not corrosion-resistant.

If the BK-13 Remora I received had come with a better factory edge I would give it a slight advantage because of its 1095 Cro-Van material.
What is the best slicer for a bk-13?
The BK-13 came delivered with a simply terrible edge grind geometry but its 1095 Cro-Van hollow ground blade is a better slicer now that I repaired its poor factory edge than the much thicker blade on the CRKT.
Is this Ka Bar bk9 knife any good?
Ok I bought this to fit the BK9 sheath secondary pouch which is what Ka Bar advertises. I’ve got other knives which have 2 pouches and different blades. This one is fine for its intended role but the factory grind is so poor I couldn’t believe it. Yes it’s sharp but looks like it was pulled through the back of a can opener shapener.
