What material is used for koozies?
Standard koozie foam material is polyurethane. Neoprene, on the other hand, is a synthetic rubber that you’d probably recognize from wetsuits. It is very flexible, durable and provides superior insulation to keep beverages cold. Neoprene can coolers cost slightly more than foam can coolers.

Is foam or neoprene better?
Neoprene is more durable, flexible and provides better insulation than scuba foam, but it’s also more expensive. Scuba foam is foam rubber backing with a polyester outer covering.
Can you use fabric paint on koozies?
Glass and other non-porous surfaces can be painted with enamel paints, which are better than acrylic. Adding a textile medium is recommended for acrylics, but they can be used on fabric as well.
